George W. Smith III, C.P.A.
George is the managing partner of the firm and is a graduate
of Wayne State University. His specialties include corporate and
individual tax matters with substantial experience in both tax audits
and start-up enterprises. His responsibilities include consulting
with business clientele in various management areas and tax planning.
George writes the chapter on income taxes for the World Almanac
and has published several books on the subject. George does not
perform well as a golfer.

Troy Lindsey, C.P.A.
Troy is a partner in the firm and has over 35 years of
experience in serving a large variety of business clients. He specializes
in closely held corporations and high-income individual income tax
matters. He has substantial experience in small business consulting
services. Troy joined us in 1980 upon relocating from Florida to
Michigan. He is a graduate of Florida State University.

Jeffrey R. Jensen, C.P.A.
Jeff is a partner of the firm and has over 26 years of
experience in the accounting profession. Jeff serves a wide variety
of business clients in various industries including manufacturing,
health care services, commercial and residential construction and
wholesale distribution. He specializes in corporate and individual
income tax matters as well as estate planning. Jeff joined our firm
in 1986 and is a graduate of Western Michigan University.

of experience in serving wide array of corporate, individual and
specialized clients. George's specialties include financial reporting,
tax exempt organizations, foreign entities operating in the United
States and estates and trusts. George joined our firm in 1986 after
working with the Lansing office of Ernst & Young. He is a graduate
of Michigan State University. George is a frequent speaker on local
television newscasts and in newspapers on matters pertaining to
year end tax planning and tax exempt organizations.

Joyce W. Miller, C.P.A.
Joyce is a graduate of University of Pittsburgh as a senior
staff member. Joyce specializes in working with clients on special
financial reports and tax matters. Her responsibilities include
assisting client personnel in a new start-up business, working with
their accounting systems and providing hands-on guidance with their
implementation. Joyce has substantial business experience working
with a wide variety of clients including banking and other professional
associates.

Diane M. Aksten, C.P.A.
Diane is a staff accountant with the firm and a graduate of Walsh
College. She joined the firm in 2007 and serves the firm’s
clients in a variety of industries including health care and manufacturing.
Diane has almost 20 years of accounting and tax experience, specializing
in working with small businesses and individuals, employee benefit
plans and tax exempt organizations.

Jonathan H. Blough, C.P.A.
Jonathan is the firm’s QuickBooks expert and unofficial “computer
guy.” In addition to helping small businesses setup, streamline
and maintain their accounting systems he also assists clients with
their financial reporting and business tax preparation. Jonathan
joined the firm in 2000 and is a graduate of Central Michigan University.
